Registration Policy

You can register for memberships and courses online, by phone, by mail, or in person. Our office hours are 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, in Rhodes Hall.

While seminars and outings are free to ALL members, you must sign up for them in advance of the start date. Enrolment may be limited in some cases due to the size of the classroom available to us, etc.

Payment and Refund Policies
  • Full payment must accompany your registration form.
  • In the event that you need to withdraw from the course, the fees will be returned, less a $15 processing fee, provided the request is received in writing by Acadia Lifelong Learning five working days prior to the start of the course.
Textbooks and Course Materials

If required, textbooks may be purchased at the Campus Bookstore. Most courses involving hands-on materials such as arts supplies include the cost of supplies, or indicate an estimate of what participants will need to purchase in the course description. Participants are responsible for providing their own supplies to take notes, etc.

Parking Regulations

Please click here for Acadia University parking information. All vehicles parked on Acadia’s campus must be registered with the Department of Safety and Security, except those at parking meters.

For more information contact:

  • Acadia Safety and Security Department: (902) 542-7711
  • Parking Decals, Temporary Parking, and Lost-and-Found: (902) 585-1103

There is no charge for parking at off-campus locations like the Port Williams Community Centre, Wolfville Library, Kings Presbyterian Church, or the Greenwich Community Centre.

Inclement Weather Cancellation Policy

Our general rule is if the Kings County School Board schools are closed due to inclement weather, Acadia Lifelong Learning classes and events will be cancelled for that day, even if the Acadia University campus remains officially open. Please check local radio stations or CBC's Storm Centre webpage for possible cancellation announcements. The instructor will advise students of the date and time of rescheduled classes at the next scheduled class.

In the event of inclement weather on a Saturday, the ALL Coordinator and course instructor will decide whether the class will move forward based on road conditions and the weather forecast.  If the class is cancelled, notifications will be sent out as described above.

For those auditing courses, on campus classes run unless the university is closed (contact the Acadia Safety and Security Department at 542-7711 to confirm), or the instructor cancels the course.
